Hi Greg - Nice to see somebody has visited the web site !!! I've had a look at the EPA website and notice there may a change in the rules with regard to balls dropping into pockets without being hit. it comes under section L and section V. Please find a link for the rules below. www.epa.org.uk/wrules.phpIt might be worth contacting Kev Smalley who is the new rules and ref advisor for clarification his mobile no is 07920045911 Any other help I can give please do not hesitate to leave a message

Hiya Brian, As Vice Chairman didn't you ought to join the forums? Anyway, just thought I'd say this is a great idea and well done to whoever thought of it and got off their ass to set it up. Let's hope a few other pool players get around to joining and posting some stuff here. I only came across it by chance, might be an idea to advertise the fact that there is a forum at the next meeting, or on the next mailshot sent out... Cheers, Kev Northcott

Brian,
At the last pool meeting you mentioned that the website address for the league had changed. I can't find the new site so could you please confirm the address?
Cheers.

Can I just ask if the league are aware that the fixtures are borked? This week we went AWAY to the Penny Platinums as per the yellow fixture list given to me at Cues when the fixtures were handed out. On arriving at the Pennycomequick, Phil Patton was there to tell me that we had got it wrong. Even when I showed him a copy of the fixtures that I carry with me he asked me where I got them from? Stupid bloody question - I didn't print them myself!! Well, we rushed back to our venue and the night started badly. We lost too, the table was slow as we hadn't ironed it, thinking we were away, and there was not the usual spread of food.
Anyway, my yellow fixture list was wrong and having now checked it against the fixture list in the handbook there are 8 matches the wrong way round on there!! Surely a bit of a mess up by the league but I find it strange that we're the only ones it affects. The Penny team we played had it wrong as well. Interestingly, the first match of the season is the wrong way round but we haven't played that yet as we rearranged it due to one of our team getting married on that date. Other teams must have noticed the fixtures were wrong too though? They're the wrong way round on the web site too I notice...
So, are we the only ones who have an incorrect fixture list?

Hi Kev
I have checked your fixtures on the website as compared to the handbook any have adjusted the one error I was able to find - the second match. Unfortuantely I do not have a copy of your fixture grid to see what has happened.
Regards
Brian

Message for Terrykpp. If you asked i would tell you about it !!!!!!!!
It is good that we know have 4 people who have used the forum. All joking aside I am hoping that it might be used a bit more if my nomination for league secretary is successful at the agm. As any comments good or bad is always welcome. Please let me have you thoughts how you thought the winter season has gone and how the presentation night went.

You need to phone Kevin Smalley - he's the League Secretary now. Alternatively try Brian Robson who runs these boards - he's also Competitions Secretary since the AGM I believe. I can't possibly put their phone numbers on here but I'm sure if you find any paperwork or last years handbook you'll find their numbers in there. I'd hurry too as fixture lists are due out in the next couple of weeks I think and I thought teams had to register by Sunday 12 August, unless of course there are spaces in the league, and that's entirely up to the Committee of course.
Hope that helps.

;D We should take a vote if Brians moustache is off putting for other pool players... Should Brian keep his moustache Yes or No?
